CYA Baseball sponsors travel baseball to augment our strong house program. During the spring season, participation on
travel team requires simultaneous participation on a house league team. However, during the fall, CYA Baseball encourages,
but does not require, simultaneous participation on a house league team.
Time commitments for travel baseball grow with the age of the player. At the early stages, this will include participation in selected tournaments during the year. As the boys become older, time commitments increase, and will often include Sunday double headers and selected tournaments over holiday weekends.
Players can expect to pay a separate fee for travel baseball over and above the fees required to participate in CYA house baseball programs.
For the spring 2008 season, we plan to offer at least one team in each of the following age brackets: 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U, and 15U. In the 13U-15U age brackets, when there is sufficient interest to have two travel teams at the same age level, then we will form two teams. If there is only one Raiders team within a given age bracket, the team size will be limited to a maximum of 15 players.
We also plan to form a CHS JV and Varsity Franchise team later this spring for all returning CHS JV and Varsity players.
