CYA Lacrosse will hold two main player evaluation sessions on Sunday, Feb 21st and Sunday, Feb 28th between 1pm and 5pm at the Word of Grace Athletic field. All players need to be evaluated. In the event of inclement weather, our backup date is Feb 27. Any player wanting to play on an “A" team must attend at least one evaluation. (see Evaluation and A team policy posted on website). Players new to CYA must bring proof of age (birth certificate, ID card, etc.)

U9/U11 report to check in at 12:45 - session will run from 1-2
U13 report to check in at 1:45 - session will run from 2:00-3:15
U15 report to check in at 3:00 - session will run from 3:15-4:30

2009 Parents Meeting:
Please plan to attend our informational parent meeting on January 29 from 7-8:30pm at Rocky Run Middle School’s in the little theater. In addition to useful information about the 2009 season, Spirtwear representatives will be on hand to take orders and answer any questions.
Volunteers wanted – We are an all volunteer organization and require assistance in order to give the girls the best possible experience. Volunteers are needed in many areas including (but not limited to): coaching, field management, field lining, equipment, uniforms, spirit wear, and commissioner in training. Uniforms
Jerseys- Jerseys will not be "custom" ordered (by player) as in years past even though the registration form requires you to provide a size when registering.
Kilts - We will be using the same kilts as last year. You will only need to purchase a kilt if you are new to the program (or you have lost/outgrown your kilt) The cost for a kilt is $20.Sizes run as follows: Adult XS, SM, MD, LG, XL. 2009 Age Groups
U9 Players - Birth dates of 2000, 2001 and 2002
U11 Players - Birth dates of 1998 and 1999 U13 Players - Birth dates of 1996 and 1997
U15 Players - Birth dates of 1994 and 1995*
*9th grade players who are not yet 15 and do not play on their high school team may play this spring as well as 8th grade players who are already 15 (per NVYLL Policy 1.0.4).
CYA Girls lacrosse must conform to NVYLL and US lacrosse rules on age groups. These rules are based on the players birth year and not the player’s school year. A player may not play down in age group to be with schoolmates or friends. There is also a strict policy on players wanting to play up an age group. Please refer to the policy posted on the website for more information.
Season Schedule
Lacrosse practices can start as early as February 15, most will start the first week of March with games played on Sundays (first game is March 29) continuing through the beginning of June. No games are scheduled over Easter or Memorial weekends. Some teams participate in Post Season Tournaments.
