We will normally have practice rain or shine or hot or cold, unless the field is closed. Summer in Virginia is a time for pop-up thunderstorms and other bad weather. Normally, the only cause for concern is lightning. Rain by itself is no reason not to have practice, and besides, it’s a lot of fun. It could be bad weather in one part of town or where you work, and be perfectly okay at the park (or vice versa). If in doubt, call someone (the coaches for example). In the end, the final decision is yours as to bring your player or not, and there is never a penalty for guessing wrong about the weather.
