SPRING 2010 TRYOUTS
U14 Girls
CYA Dynamite (a U14G ODSL team) is looking to add dedicated, hard working players interested in playing club soccer. We offer a spirited, fun and competitive soccer experience in a supportitve team environment, enabling our players to participate in other activities. Dynamite uses professional trainers weekly for advancing skills and strategies, while keeping costs reasonable. The team competes in ODSL and participates in 1-2 regional tournaments each season. Our team offers opportunities for winter indoor soccer and summer camps during the off-season. Dynamite will be holding tryouts in early March after the snow clears. U14 Boys
The CYA Huskies are an ODSL Division One U14 travel team looking to add players to our roster for the upcoming Spring 2010 season. The Huskies have been together for over 6 seasons and draw players from Chantilly, Oak Hill, South Riding and Fairfax. The Huskies are on the waitlist to join NCSL for the Spring season.
We are particularly looking for travel level defenders and goalkeepers. Players should be born after 8/1/1995.
We believe in skill development, team work and sportsmanship and we are proud winners of ODSL’s Randy Rawls Sportsmanship Award in 2008. Our mission is also to get each Husky ready to play in high school if they choose to do so.

The CYA United are a U13 Boys travel soccer team in Division 3 of the NCSL league. The boys are coached by Abdirizak Mohamed (former college player who holds USSF and US National Youth coaching licenses) and trained by Cristian Linte (former professional Romanian player). The team maintains a 10-month a year program, including NCSL league play in the Fall and Spring, conditioning during the Winter, and several tournaments a year. The team is looking to recruit several new players for their Spring / Fall 2010 roster. U11 Boys
CYA REAL 98 Purple is looking for motivated, skilled players who love the game of soccer and want to take their training to the next level. REAL 98 Purple is a successful, competitive team that has won 4 tournaments over the past few seasons (Busch Gardens Classic, Dulles National Tournament, Battlefield Classic, PWSI Icebreaker) and has been a finalist in several others. After the Fall 2009 season, the team will be matched against solid, comparable teams in NCSL, Division 6, but with a great opportunity to advance. REAL 98 Purple utilizes focused, academy-style professional training sessions during the spring and fall seasons as well as winter league play. REAL 98 Purple places a strong emphasis on teamwork, sportsmanship, & enjoying and growing in the game of soccer. Rising U18 Girls
The CYA Blast U-16 Girls ODSL is seeking to add a few skilled players to complement the existing roster. Rising U15 Girls
The CYA Dragons (Rising U15G, ODSL D2 in Spring 2009) The Dragons are looking for players (born 8/1/94 and younger) committed to developing individual technical skills as well as team tactics so as to consistently improve as a soccer player and as a soccer team while having fun. Our objectives are to maximize "fun opportunities" to practice/play and maximize "flexibility" for those wishing to participate in High School activities while minimizing other conflicts. The Dragons’ coaches/trainers have decades of experience coaching in NCAA, WAGS, ODSL, and in other leagues, and in playing the game. Contact Dennis Sixbey and/or John Cuellar.
Rising U14 Girls
The CYA Rumble a rising U14 and current ODSL division 1 team, is looking to add a few highly motivated, dedicated and hard working girls to join our team for the upcoming 2009-2010 season. Tryouts will be held as follows: Tuesday, June 9th from 7-9 PM at Word of Grace 13832 Redskin Drive, Herndon, VA 20171; Thursday, June 11th from 5:30-7:30 PM at EDS Fields, corner of Centreville Road and Wall Road, Herndon VA 20171; Tuesday June 16th from 7-9 PM at Word of Grace and June 18th from 5:30-7:30 PM at EDS Fields. Rising U13 Boys
The CYA Cobras is holding open tryouts in June 2009 for talented and motivated players to play in the upcoming U13 fall season. The team currently competes at a high level in the ODSL and is on the waitlist to play in the NCSL soon. The team has been steadily raising the competitive level of all players through professional training and hard work while still having fun. Our team philosophy is to foster a love for soccer and develop the skills of each player while competing at a high level. The team provides excellent professional training for players and GKs. Players are encouraged to be multi-sport athletes. Each fall and spring season, the Cobras play in 2-3 tournaments and hold various team outings to DC United and other fun activities to make the travel experience memorable for everyone. The team trains and plays 10 months a year, with optional practices in the summer. The coaches are very experienced in coaching youth soccer and ensuring skill development, certified by the US Soccer Federation (USSF), and belong to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) as well as the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA). Rising U12 Boys
The CYA SoccaPaloozas are a rising boys’ U12 travel soccer team that played in ODSL’s second division as U11s this spring. We will be holding tryouts on Wednesday, June 24th, at Arrowhead #2 from 6p to 7:30p. More about us: We are a family-oriented team that focuses on having fun, teamwork and sportsmanship in balance with competition. Building character matters as much to us as winning, and our record bears that out, having earned two ODSL sportsmanship awards plus a division title in our five seasons together. Rising U11 Girls
The CYA Freedom 98 travel teams need players this fall for rising U-11 play. Do you have a young female player born in 1998/1999 looking for more competition and professional soccer training? We have three (2 Washington Area Girls Soccer League-WAGS and 1 Old Dominion Soccer League-ODSL) stratified teams offering fundamental skills through advanced play. We are professionally trained by Soccer Performance International (SPI).
