Background information - Updated March 11, 2010
Volleyball is a Fall and Spring co-ed sport for grades 3 through 12. This will be our 17th year.  We had 280 players last year.  Our season runs from the first Saturday after school starts in September until Nov 15 for the Fall. The Spring season begins  March 16 and runs until June 15th.  Teams practice either once for 90 minutes or twice a week for an hour and play games every Saturday and a few Sundays.  This is an instructional league.  This means we stress learning and fun. Players are grouped by grades 3&4, 5&6, 7&8, and High School.

3&4 graders all meet twice a week for a clinic taught by people who know the sport.  The intention is to give these kids a good foundation.  The players are put on teams and they play games on Saturdays. They play with a Volley Lite ball, same size as a normal ball but 2/3 the weight.  The court is smaller and they play with modified rules.

5&6 graders have a tryout on the first Saturday after School opens in September and we try to build teams of equal talent. They practice twice a week for an hour with their coach and play games on Saturdays. They are allowed to move in to serve.  We rotate everyone into games so that no one sits out a game. They play with a Volley Lite ball.

7&8 graders have a tryout on the first Saturday after School opens in September to try and build teams of equal talent. They practice twice a week for an hour with their coach and play games on Saturday.  They play regular volleyball with regular equipment.

The High Schoolers have a tryout on the first Saturdayafter School opens  in September to try and build teams of equal talent. They practice twice a week for an hour with their coach and play games on Saturdays.  They play regular volleyball with regular equipment.

At the end of the season we have a year end tournament with medals for 1st and 2nd places.  There is also a year-end party at Chantilly HS for players and coaches with pizza, soda, and cake.  Parents are welcome but we charge a small fee.

If online registration is closed , you can still register in the wait list area. Depending upon the number of coaches, we may have openings for a few players in each grade.
