FEES:
- CYA Wrestling: $140 w/ $50 deposit for equipment
- Charger Wrestling (CAWL): $140, plus CAWL fees, w/ $50 equipment deposit, plus each wrestler must obtain thier own AAU and Wrestling USA Cards. Wreslters competing in the CAWL are also eligible to compete in NVWF meets.

CYA Wrestlers competing in the Northern Virginia Wrestling Federation will compete against wrestlers in thier age division, within +/- 3-5 pounds, with like experience.
CYA Wrestlers competing in the Capital Area Wrestling Leage will compete against wrestlers of the same weight with age restirctions for each weight. See the CAWL WWW pages:

If your wrestler is still playing football, finish the season, then come to wrestling practice

We will practice on M & Tu of Thankgiving Week

We will not have practice during FCPS Holiday Vacation

If FFCPS cancels school due to inclement weather, we will not practice

If we can get into the wrestling room on federal/school holidays- we will practice. Watch for email.
What to Wear for Practice: T-shirt, shorts, and Wrestling shoes. Purchase your wrestling shoes well in advance to be sure you have them for the first practice. You can purchase them locally at Dick’s or Modell’s. There are several online sources as well. Some CYA Wrestlers may have shoes that they have outgrown and are willing to sell- let Carol Barr (email:
bccl@msn.com ) know if your looking or have shoes to sell.
Seniors are requried to wear headgear in practice.
SINGLETS & HEADGEAR: CYA provides singlets for competition. We will issue them before our intersquad meet planned for ## December 2008. Seniors are required to wear headgear in competition- CYA Wrestling will issue headgear.
Each wrestler is responsible for replacement cost of their singlet and headgear- replacement cost for singlets is $50, headgear is $30.
Equipment Deposit: Each wrestler will provide a deposit (check) of $50 for singlets issued by CYA Wrestling. When the singlet is returned at the end of the season, the deposit check will be returned. If singlets are not returned by a date announced at the end of the season, deposit checks will be cashed.
CYA Wrestling Clothing Each wrestler will recieve a free t-shirt with their registration- we put a different ’slogan’ on the back each year. Th We many families choose to order items to wear to tournaments. We do not use this as a revenue generating program- we offer these items at cost. Our aim is to fill the stands with ’purple.’

We will take two orders one for delivery before the first tournament and a second for delivery immediately after practice resumes in January.
Age Divisons: Wrestlers will compete against kids thier own age.
